- A formal Will is a set of written instructions by which a person
- communicates how their property shall be disposed of after his or
- her death. One who writes a Will is said to be a testator or a
- testatrix if the person is female. In the case of death where a
- Will has been created, that person is said to die testate. In the
- absence of a Will a person dies intestate. A designee instructed
- to handle the affairs of the estate is an executor or an executrix.
- A Will or any part thereof may be revoked or altered by a subsequent
- written Will, Codicil or other writing declaring such revocation or
- alteration provided that the same formalities required for the
- execution of Wills under this law are observed in the execution of
- such Will, Codicil or other writing.
